ADMISSION

Admission Criteria:

For Class Nursery: Child completing 3 years on 31st March of the year of admission.

For Class I : Child completing 5 years on 31st March of the year of admission.

For Classes I To VIII : There will be no formal test or interview, however the school reserves right to apply some screening method if number of applicants are more than the number of seat available.

For Classes IX To XI : Guidelines by CBSE are strictly followed.

25% of the total seats are reserved under RTE Act for children at entry level i.e. in Nursery & Class I from SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker section.

Documents required for admission:

1. Two Passport Size Colour Photograph.

2. Original Transfer Certificates from Previous School.

3. Attested Copy of Date of Birth Certificate.

4. Attested Photocopy of Mark Sheet of Previous Year.

5. Photocopy of Aadhar Card.

7. Photocopy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate.

8. Photocopy of Blood Group Certificate.

Assessment & Evaluation :

Montessori

Grading system will be followed. Evaluation will be done on the basis of monthly performance considering CW, HW and worksheets. No marks will be given in the evaluation card. Only grade will be given.

 

Class I to V

The assessment structure and examination for Classes I to V will comprise of the following:-

As per CBSE Circular No. Acad-14/2017 Date 21.03.2017

1. Scholastic Area: The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII have been prepared in view of the provisions of RTE-Act 2009 and comprise of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained below:

2. Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI-VIII):

Co-Curricular activities in the following co-scholastic areas will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and C = Fair) keeping in view the aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output & team work:

(a) Work Education: Work education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.

(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)

(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)

3. Discipline: Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3 point grading scale (A = Outstanding, B = Very Good and C = Fair)

 

Class IX & X

As per CBSE Circular No. Acad-05/2017 Date 31.01.2017

2. Co-Scholastic Activities:

School should promote co-curricle activities for the holistic development of the student. These activities will be graded on a 5-point grading scale (A to E) and will have no descriptive indicators. No up scaling of grades will be done.

Art Education constitutes an important area of curricular activity for development of wholesome personality of the students. Students will select one or more forms of creative arts.

Health & Physical Education (Sports / Martial Arts / Yoga/ NCC etc.

By the PE Teacher

Health & Physical Activity preferably sports must be given a regular period. Students should be provided opportunities to get professionally trained in the area of their interest. Indigenous sports, yoga and NCC must be encouraged in the schools creating a sense of physical fitness, discipline, sportsmanship, patriotism, self-sacrifice and health care.

 

3. Discipline (Attendance, Sincerity, Behaviour, Values): Grading from A to E on five point scale.

 

Class XI & XII

Mark system will be followed for Science, Commerce & Humanities (Arts), Assignments & Projects, Unit Test-1, Unit Test-2, Half Yearly Examination, Unit Test-3 and Annual/Session Ending Examination will be conducted during the session. Total 33% in each of the five subjects will be required to pass the examination. It will be necessary to pass in theory and practical separately for subjects having practical.

A candidate failing in one of the five subjects in Class XI shale be placed in compartment in that subject and will be allowed to appear in Compartment Examination within a period of one month from the date of declaration of the result.

 

 

Report on Progress:

Parents will receive computer generated Progress Report for each term of the academic year.

Feedback on progress:

Parents are requested to sign each evaluation sheets and handover it back. This will ensure that they are always aware of their ward's progress.

Attendance:

A student is required to keep 75% attendance in each term. The students failing to fulfill the required attendance shall not be permitted to appear in Annual Exams.

Home Work Policy:

Each pupil should have a Rawat Public School Diary, which is life line of school where he / she is to record the home work each day. Revision, consolidation and completion of home work should take place every night.

Counselling Departments:

The counseling department assists pupils in selection of subjects, courses and careers, as well as dealing with problem of personal adjustment.

School Conveyance:

Conveyance facility is available on all routes. Students are not permitted to withdraw from the van facility in the mid-session unless there is a shifting of residence and in case of withdrawal of facility, conveyance fee is not refundable.

Clubs Bonding as a team:

The School provides fairly wide range of activities through different clubs. Various clubs help in the enhancement of creativity & personality of our students. There are Literary Club, Reader's Club, Eco Club, Quiz Club, Health Club, Commerce Club, Maths Club, Science Club, Heritage Club, Cyber Club, Fine Arts & Music Club, Cookery Club, Integrity Club and Traffic Club.

Summer Camp:

School organizes various hobby classes such as Basketball, Art & Craft, Drama, Dance, Spoken English, Sculpture, Table Tennis & Cricket during summer camp.

Meetings are arranged by prior appointment only. Timings for meeting are 9:30 am to 11:00 am. It is advised to fix up an appointment before a visit is made to avoid inconvenience. Conduct Rules:

Students are always expected to set standards of good conduct and politeness in the school, van and at public place. They should greet their teachers and elders where ever they meet them. Being respectful and use of appropriate language is expected from all members of the students.

Rules & Regulations:

1. Students must reach school five minutes before the first bell ring.
2. Students must keep their bicycles properly locked at the cycle stand.
3. Objectionable reading material is not allowed in the school.
4. Bringing mobiles phones, i pods or any other electronic item to school is strictly prohibited. Those will be confiscated if a student's is found carrying them.
5. Students must take care of the school property. Damaging school furniture & property shall initiate disciplinary action.
6. Students found visiting the kiosks outside the school will be subject to disciplinary action.

Withdrawals:

One full calendar month’s notice in writing or one months’ fee in lieu thereof is required for the withdrawals of a child from the school. Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued after 3 days of submission of withdrawal form along with TC Fee at reception, provided the students has paid all schools dues prior to it.
