Human civilization have been around for a paltry 12,000 years- hardly a few seconds on the geological clock. In this short a one unit of time, we have managed to create quite a ruckus etching our dominance over nature with village, towns, cities, megacities. The destruction of environment and the eradication of wildlife. Air pollution, water pollution, garbage and pollution of natural environment etc. are all challenges for India as well for whole world. According to World Bank experts, between 1995 through 2010, India has made one of the fastest progress in the industries and power sectors. Pollution remain major challenge and opportunity for India. Environmental degradation is one of the primary causes of diseases, health issues and long term livelihood impact for India. The sustainable management of the environment and natural resources is vital for economic growth and human well being. When managed, well, renewable natural resources, watersheds, productive landscapes and seascapes can provide the foundation for sustained inclusive growth food security and poverty reduction. National resources provide livelihoods for hundreds of millions of people and generate sizeable tax revenue. The world's ecosystems regulate the air, water and soil on which we all depend. Healthy ecosystems are essential for the long term growth of economic sectors such as agriculture, forestry, fisheries and tourism, they already provide hundreds of millions of jobs. There are numbers of causes of environmental degradation i.e. smoke emitted by vehicles and factories, unplanned urbanization and industrialization, population, poverty, economic factors, land degradation etc. Impacts of all these human heal in, loss of Biodiversity, ozone layer depletion etc. "By August 2, 2017, we will have used more from nature than our planet can renew in the whole year. We use more ecological resources and services than nature can regenerate through over-fishing, over-harvesting forests and emitting more CO2 into the atmosphere than for can sequester." Being Eco-friendly or environmentally friendly is becoming more and more important, Eco-friendly products promote green living that help to conserve energy and also prevent air, water and noise pollution. They prove to be boon for the environment and also prevent human health from deterioration. ''Let's make this Diwali eco-friendly, let’s keep our city green and pollution free.
